Target audience

The Advanced Diploma of Business qualification reflects the role of individuals with significant experience in a senior administrative role who are seeking to develop expertise across a wider range of business functions.

The qualification is suited to individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge and wish to consolidate and build pathways to further educational or employment opportunities.

Course Duration
4 terms in 52 weeks, 2.5 days per week .

Study Modes

This course is classroom based and it includes theory, group discussions, case studies, presentations and research.

Entry Requirements
Candidates may enter the qualification through a number of entry points demonstrating potential to undertake vocational education and training at advanced diploma level, including Diploma of Business or other relevant qualification/s or with substantial vocational experience in a range of environments, acting in a range of senior support or technical roles. All international students must provide evidence of English proficiency equivalent to IELTS overall score of 5.5, be over 18 years of age and have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent.

Assessment Requirements
Assessment strategies are developed in consultation with industry.  It is critical that students are able to apply strategic management thinking processes at the Advanced Diploma level.  Case studies and project simulation will be used for each unit to ensure appropriate application of skills.  Assessment methods include:

  • Case study projects
  • Role play
  • Written report
  • Presentations

Assessments will be provided for each unit.
