Captain Ash Goyal
Chief Executive Officer

With a clear passion for education, links to industry and a strong advocate of the vocational industry, Ash has been the founder of Salford College and has ensured that the college always maintains the highest standards. The commitment to quality, student training and welfare, strong and motivated staff is key to success.

Ash believes that in the college the most important person is you. This belief is the very basic tent of Salford College. With strong links in the industry he has helped a lot of students get placements, some of them leading to jobs or setting up own businesses. He believes strongly in International education and the fact that learning is not just about books. Education is a broad field and international education and exposure builds people and give them amazing life experiences which always gives you an added edge in this competitive world.

With formal qualification in Masters in Political Science and years of senior leadership roles in Army and in business,  he brings a calm sense of leadership, a focus on tomorrow, and a clear vision.


Peter Dawes
Training and Quality Manager /Management Trainer

As the Training and Quality Manager, Peter ensures that all training, assessment and compliance matters are of the highest standards. Peter has worked in business and as a trainer for almost 2 decades and brings to his roles all of his experiences, thus guiding the students through a very rich and rewarding journey at Salford College.

Peter is one of the most enthusiastic trainers you will ever meet.  With an amazing set of skills, a deep empathy with all of his students, he is always available for you and has the right advice and word for you. Peter has a vast amount of experience in the design, development and delivery of training and assessment methods combined with a range of qualifications such as a Diploma of Management, Certificate IV in Business and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Melissa Turner
Training Coordinator

Melissa is the Training Coordinator and organises our class timetables.  Mel can generally be identified from a mile away with her big laugh. No job is too big or too small for her. Her attention to details and meticulousness ensures that all student records are maintained at their best. You will find her with a camera in hand, solving your problems and ensuring that the facilities are always top notch.

Jeremy Smart
Hospitality Trainer

Jeremy has been working in the hospitality industry for the last 18 years. After qualifying as a chef in Canberra he has worked around the country and even undertaken a stint on the iconic “Ghan and Indian Pacific” railways.

Most recently jeremy was Head Chef at “The Maid” hotel in Stepney. He enjoys passing on his knowledge of the industry to his students and encourages personal development. Jeremy continues to work in the industry as a casual chef.

Manmeet Chhabra
Admissions Officer

Manmeet is an easy going and highly approachable person. He brings with himself an experience of more than 16 years in industries as diverse as Contact Centers, Consulting and Education in the roles of Operations and Business Development. He handles the marketing, business development and admissions for both onshore and offshore clients with equal élan. He can always be found in smart business attires, enjoying interacting with staff, students and business associates.

He has a Masters in Business Studies and a Bachelors in Commerce.


Kristina Giglio
Administration Officer

Kristina is the first person you see when you walk into Salford College.  At the reception desk, Kristina answers the telephone and greets students.  She can surprise you by speaking in multiple languages. And she has the answer to almost all of your questions.

Heena Mittal


Accounts Officer

Heena is a Chartered Accountant from India and a product of UniSA having completed her Masters in Professional Accounting in 2017. She has sound knowledge of accounting procedures and practices. She is currently handling the accountant’s role and is friendly and easy to work with. Staff, students and vendors both enjoy working with her.

Adrian Brown
Hospitality Trainer

Adrian has a joke for every occasion and has a great rapport with his students. He has a great skill to get his training across in a fun environment. He is a great Chef trainer and has decades of experience in the industry. Having worked as a chef, restaurant owner, trainer he has done everything you could do to having won your laurels. Immensely respected and loved by his students he is a fantastic trainer and he works very hard for all his students to find them work placements in the industry suitable for the students and hopefully leading  to a positive outcome.


Kim Growden
Food and Beverage Trainer

Kim comes with very strong hospitality skills and experience. She currently works as a Hospitality Manager as well as a Hospitality Trainer.  Kim has helped many students gain employment in hospitality.  Her students are known for making the best cappuccinos and providing quality service with a smile.  With formal qualifications in hospitality and having successfully trained as well as helped find scores of students job placements, Kim is a hot favorite of her students.


Ryan Leaver
Business /Management/English (TESOL) Trainer

Business Relationships Manager

Ryan Leaver has considerable experience working in management, education and business development roles across a number of private and public organisations. Keen and energetic, Ryan prides himself on his ability to foster productive working relationships and has an aptitude to deliver dynamic education programs. Drawing on his vast industry experience coupled with tertiary studies in Education, MBA, Social Sciences, Information Management and TESOL, Ryan has played a key role in the development of Salford College’s English program and continues to train in Business and Management (Diploma / Advanced Diploma levels).


Daniel Owers
Hospitality Trainer

Daniel comes with around twenty years of hospitality experience in a range of different organisations both in Australia and overseas.He also has a Bachelor in Business, Diplomas in Training design and development and Vocational Education as well as a Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment. All this has set him up well to pass on his skills to our international Diploma of Hospitality students.


Karen Hewton
Business Trainer

Karen began as a VET trainer for Salford College in 2017, and she runs two classes – Diploma of Business and Advanced Diploma of Business. She brings 30 years business experience with her. She has owned a variety of businesses – general store, outback transport company, retail outlets, and a wholesaling and importing company.

Her qualifications include Graduate certificate in Business, Diploma of Retail and Diploma of Counselling.

Louise Reynolds
Business& Management Trainer

Louise Reynolds has spent the last 25 years in health, education, human and community service organisations. Before coming to Salford College, Louise was a health science lecturer at Flinders University, responsible for First Year Coordination for various transition programs for newly commencing students. She was the first Australian female paramedic to gain a PhD (Business and Management) and was recognised by the peak professional body Paramedics Australasia for her research contribution in 2008.
